Enter Carly Keone

~ Preparing to be Dorothy for The Wizard of Oz ~
Hey there! My name is Carly Keone, and I love theater. As an aspiring actress, I have been in several small school and community productions playing everything from The Cow in Animal Farm to Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. I have been acting since I was twelve years old, and I hope to be able to continue doing what I love most for the rest of my life. Singing has been another one of my greatest passions ever since middle school. I've sung in school choirs, jazz groups, vocal ensembles, musicals and community chorals for the past seven years. My other hobbies include traveling, learning musical instruments and foreign languages. The farthest place that I've traveled so far has been to Japan, which is my favorite destination by far. I have had the opportunity to travel to Mexico and the Bahamas, and plan on visiting Italy and France next summer. I am also learning how to play the piano and guitar, and I absolutely love learning foreign languages. My favorite language to learn is French which I've been studying for eight years. My goal is to become fluent in French, Japanese and Spanish as well as to travel to each of the seven continents and live in France, Japan and England at different points in my life.

Several issues that I deal with at the present are the stressors of an overbooked schedule. Between school, plays, piano practice, club activities, homework, babysitting and my part time job at Grandview B&B, I have hardly any time for myself to just relax as I am constantly running from one place to another trying to get everything done. Despite my hectic schedule, I am really happy because everything that I have to do is something that I truly enjoy doing. Another stressor I'm dealing with, that only time will heal, is the issue of which school to transfer to after this year. I am currently enrolled in my second year at CCC for the Associates Transfer Degree, and have since decided that I wish to pursue a bachelor in Arts with musical theater as my major. I am preparing to apply to several different theater schools, one of which is in England, where I particularly would love to study more than anywhere else. I would be fulfilling my dreams of acting and living in England at once. Wish me luck!
